Hey there! This is Amanda Ross with Brand In A Snap. And in this video, we’re gonna talk about why skinny jeans just do not cut it in web design.
What I mean by that is that, what we talked about in video number two, which was “The 90s Called And They Want Their Website Back,” this kinda goes along with that. One of the things that I still see nowadays are websites that don’t take up the whole screen. They’re only this big, or they’re only over here. ‘kay? It’s a bit weird.

In modern design we use the whole screen, right? Not necessarily words touching at each, but our imagery and our graphics will fit the whole screen.
So we don’t want skinny jeans on our website. Nobody likes that. Skinny jeans look great with a pair of boots, but not on a website.
Take a look at your website and see if you’re actually utilizing the entire real estate area that you can, rather than just a little tiny portion, a little skinny… Unless it’s purposeful, and from a design aspect that you’re doing that. But if it’s ’cause your website’s just a bit old, or maybe you didn’t really know what you were doing, ’cause maybe it was the first time you ever built a website and, you know, you did it yourself, ’cause it was a small business and now you’re ready to upgrade, then it’s probably time to do that.
